At each of our project sites, we create parent cafés. These are family spaces that are rich in resources about child development. Parents are encouraged to relax, have a coffee, learn about topics that matter to them, and connect with other families. Children are welcome to interact with the assortment of toys, games, and books in our play area.

At these locations, we bring the community resources to the families. On a monthly basis, professionals from community agencies visit the café spaces to have informal chats about their speciality. At any time, you may contact us to suggest topics or programs that you would like hear about.

So, whether you are looking for family activities to do in Lethbridge or just want to have a relaxing coffee, come by for a visit!

 

Ecole St Mary’s:
Located next to the Early Learning Program, this cafe is always open. Events and sessions happen regularly, please see the calendar for a schedule.

Westminster School:
Located in the library, the Parent & Tot Café is available on Tuesdays at 12:15pm and Wednesdays at 8:30am. During these times, there is a host available to help you around the café.

Sunny South Day Care:

Sunny South Parent Café’s are held at the Lethbridge College every month or every other month. A speaker presents on a topic that relates to childhood brain development. Typically, each September there is also a Cafe inviting parents to learn about BBF and enroll their child in the program.
